Prestbury Youth Pantomime Association's production of Dick Whittington was a huge success with 850 people having watched the show and several of last week's performances sold out.
The cast of over forty 11 to 18 year olds put on a quality performance, providing a really fun family show but it would not have been possible without the support adult volunteers.
Andy Jones, Chairman of Prestbury Youth Pantomime Association, said "The show was a great success and we received lots of applause and plaudits from the audiences.
"Our young performers were excellent, showing lots of talent, energy and professionalism. We were assisted by an essential 'army' of parents and grandparents who gave lots of time to front of house, backstage work, hair and makeup, costume, props and the all important clear-up on the Sunday after the last night.
"It has been a rewarding and fun, community project, which participants and audiences gained much pleasure from. I offer my sincere thanks to all the committee members and the many people who gave their time to make it happen."
With the show only just over they are already thinking ahead to next year's pantomime and need to create a new committee and team of helpers to ensure the show goes on.
Andy said "We hope as many people as possible will volunteer to be part of the project in January 2012 and will attend the Annual General Meeting at 7.30pm on 15th March at Prestbury Primary School on Bollin Grove to sign up."
