The 1st Prestbury Rainbows recently held a Skipathon to raise money for Children with Leukaemia.

Sixteen children took part in the event which was held at the Guide Hut on Bollin Grove. They raised £108.00 for the charity which is dedicated to fighting Britain's biggest childhood cancer, affecting up to 500 children every year in the UK.

Vicky Bissett said "They skipped for an hour with some doing 200 skips.

"The children who were beginners at the start of the session became quite competent by the end of the hour."
